Smoke Signal News updated website was founded in 1968 and has been serving the community for over 50 years. It has always been created and published by volunteers, all neighbors in Smoke Rise.

Yes, we have just updated our website - www.smokesignalnews.com.  On the site you can see the current issue, download and read past issues and meet the staff.  Pictures will be added as the site is built.

This is a community newspaper so advertising is to advertisers who live in Smoke Rise.

Display Ads - please send Rita Casteel an email at staff@smokesignalnews.com for rates and sizes.  We do limit the amount of space dedicated to advertising so there is often a waiting list.  Ads are billed annually.

Classified Ads - Must be submitted by the 10th of the month for the next issue.  Contact Rita Casteel at  staff@smokesignalnews.com

Flyers - Contact Barbara Luton 770.491.6711 or email -  staff@smokesignalnews.com

by the 15th of the month.  Cost is $150.00 by check to Smoke Signal News.  All printing is now done by Greater Georgia Printers, Inc.  Send flyer ready artwork (8.5 x 11 size) to  staff@smokesignalnews.com and bobby@georgiaprinters.com will contact you directly.

There is no cost for the paper.  We do appreciate our volunteers, advertisers and Patrons for making our paper possible.

The newspaper is delivered to the driveways of the homes in Smoke Rise for free by Boy Scout Troop 876.  If it rained and your paper was wet, there area additional papers in the box at the Community Garden.

Since we are all volunteer, it is difficult to manage requests to opt out of delivery.  If you do not want your paper, please pass it on to someone else or put it in the box at the Community Garden.

Patrons are people, groups and companies who generously contribute money to the newspaper to help with costs and sponsor color printing in selected issues.  We are a  501C3 organization.  If you are interested, contact a staff member or write  staff@smokesignalnews.com
